Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey Attend California Bookshop Opening

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, recently participated in a book club session at the newly opened Goodmothers bookshop in Summerland, California. The event, which took place a few miles from her Montecito residence, was part of the store's opening weekend celebrations.

Accompanied by media mogul Oprah Winfrey, Markle delivered a brief address to attendees. The gathering included notable figures such as Marco Leone, astrology and psychology expert Dr. Jennifer Freed, and psychic medium Laura Lynne Jackson.

The bookshop, co-owned by literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, showcased a collection of works by local authors. Prominently displayed were two books connected to the royal couple: Prince Harry's memoir "Spare" and Markle's children's book "The Bench."

"Spare," published on January 10, 2023, offered a critical perspective on the couple's experiences within the British Royal Family. Markle's "The Bench," released in 2001, was inspired by the relationship between Harry and their son, Archie.

Recent speculation about Prince Harry's potential return to royal duties has been dispelled by sources close to the Duke of Sussex. The Telegraph reported that Harry has "no interest" in resuming official responsibilities in the UK, focusing instead on his future in the United States.

Despite maintaining contact with a select group of trusted advisers from his former life in Britain, Harry is said to be content with his new life in California. Sources describe him as having an "amazing" new circle of friends and several upcoming projects.

The couple's decision to step down as senior members of the British royal family in January 2020 marked a significant shift in their lives. Since then, they have established themselves in the US, founding Archewell Inc., an American public organization, in the same year.
