Lord Goldsmith Reportedly Engaged to Ian Fleming's Great Niece
Conservative peer Lord Goldsmith, 49, is reportedly engaged to Hum Fleming, 34, great niece of James Bond author Ian Fleming. This will be Lord Goldsmith's third marriage, following his separation from his second wife last year.
Zac Goldsmith, the 49-year-old Conservative peer, is reportedly set to tie the knot for the third time. Sources close to the couple have confirmed his engagement to Hum Fleming, the 34-year-old great niece of renowned James Bond author Ian Fleming.
Ms. Fleming, a public relations executive specializing in fashion and lifestyle, hails from the prestigious Fleming private banking dynasty. Her family's legacy in finance dates back to 1873 when Fleming & Co. was established. Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Fleming is known for her advocacy work in epilepsy awareness.
As an ambassador for the Young Epilepsy Foundation, an organization with roots tracing back to 1897, Ms. Fleming has been open about her personal struggles with the condition. In a candid interview with The Telegraph two years ago, she detailed how her seizures have evolved into convulsive episodes in adulthood, sometimes resulting in severe tongue injuries during nocturnal seizures.
"They are engaged. Hum was wearing a big sparkler on a night out in Mayfair this week and said she and Zac were to be married."
This engagement comes approximately one year after Lord Goldsmith's separation from his second wife, Alice Rothschild. The couple, who had been married for a decade and share three children, announced their amicable split in 2023.
Lord Goldsmith's political career has been marked by two terms as the Member of Parliament for Richmond Park, London's largest Royal Park, from 2010 to 2016 and again from 2017 to 2019.
