A regular morning bus-ride turned into an un-expected incident when a double-decker lost its roof in east London today. The collision with a tree on Hedgemans Road (which is located in Dagenham) left two passengers needing medical attention
The early-morning mishap – occurring around 10am – saw emergency crews rushing to assist the injured passengers. Both women got medical help and went to hospital for check-ups‚ but their injuries werent life-threatening
A Metropolitan Police representative explained the situation: “The incident happened when the bus hit a tree; we are still looking into how this occurred“. The response team included:

The London Ambulance Service team worked fast to help everyone at the scene. “Our team checked both patients right there and decided they needed hospital treatment“ said the services spokesperson‚ who confirmed that safety measures were in-place throughout the whole operation
