Two arrested after US embassy in London gets orange makeover from protesters
Climate group members painted US embassy walls orange after Trump wins election. Two people got arrested right after spraying paint while making statements about corporate control in politics
Early this morning climate activists made their point at the US embassy in London by spraying its walls with bright-colored paint (just hours after election results came in)
The only real winner is corporate power that controls major parties in both countries
The two protesters – Joseph Aggarwal and Jimmy (aged 25 and 72) chose the embassy building to show their thoughts about election results; police caught them real quick near paint-covered walls
Met Police quick-response team didnt waste time: their diplomatic unit officers made arrests in minutes. Andy Valentine‚ Deputy Assistant Commissioner said that this kind of protest is just vandalism and theyʼll keep strict control of such actions
The group has done similar stuff before – like that time couple months ago when three of its members threw soup at famous paintings in National Gallery. Their main point stays same: big companies and rich people have too much control over both US and UK politics which lets fake-popular leaders win elections
The activists think that normal voting cant fix things while money controls politics; they say this opens doors for people who use public anger for their own goals. Both protesters got charged with property damage right after police took them away from embassy grounds
