Amsterdam streets turn dangerous for Israeli sports fans after heated match
Street fights broke out in Amsterdam after football match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax fans Groups clashed near Dam Square‚ leading to multiple arrests and emergency response from both countries governments
In a night of un-expected violence on nov-8th Israeli football supporters faced attacks on Amsterdam streets which led to mass-arrests and quick diplomatic response. Benjamin Netanyahu ordered two rescue-planes to get Maccabi Tel Aviv fans out of Netherlands after what his office called a horrific incident
The trouble started at Dam Square where hundreds of Maccabi supporters met: some early conflicts happened because both sides were not friendly to each other. Police had to make arrests right there for peace-breaking (they knew this area could be problematic)

After the match things got really bad — video showed people being pushed down on cobble-stone streets and kicked Several victims had to hide in hotel rooms while Naftali Bennett former Israeli leader asked Dutch authorities to step in

Local police spokeswoman told newspapers they will keep watching the streets; officers were already there because they knew about two big matches and some planned demonstrations that week Ajax supporter groups got told to stay away from protest areas but it didnt help much with keeping peace
