Princess Catherine made her way back to public duties at the Royal-British Legion Festival of Remembrance‚ marking her first big event since completing treatment. The Princess wearing a black outfit and pearl accessories joined Prince William at the Royal Albert Hall on saturday evening
This years festival highlights several key dates: the 80-year mark since D-Day; Kosovo peace-keeping mission from quarter-century ago; and a decade since Operation Herrick in Afghanistan ended. The event features performances by well-known artists:
- Sir Tom Jones
- Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha
- Samantha Barks
- Alexandra Burke
King Charles (whoʼs getting treatment himself) attended the ceremony while Queen Camilla stayed home recovering from a chest infection - doctors advised her to skip weekend remembrance events to avoid any health set-backs
The Princess plans to watch tomorrows Cenotaph service from a balcony; while her husband and the King will place wreaths at the monument. Prince William recently shared that 2024 has been “brutal“ for his family — its been the hardest time in his life dealing with both his wife and fathers illnesses
The Queen expects to return next week for several events including a Booker Prize gathering; a Palace party for TV and film industry; and the global premiere of Gladiator II (right before the Kings 76th birthday on thursday)
