Queen Camilla lost her long-time furry friend Beth‚ a Jack Russell terrier who had been by her side for more than a decade. The much-loved pup (who had an untreatable tumor) was put to sleep this weekend

Bethʼs journey began about 13 years ago when she was found abandoned at just four-weeks old; her path crossed with Camilla at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Soon after another rescue pup Bluebell joined their family creating a perfect duo of royal companions

The pair became well-known figures in royal life: their images were stitched into the Queens coronation dress‚ and they took part in various official duties. During a kennels opening ceremony about 4 years ago Beth helped unveil a plaque using a sausage-tied rope - quite the clever pup. The dogs even showed off their modeling skills wearing their mums pearls for Country Life magazines famous portrait section
