Greater Manchester Police confirmed they arrested their colleague (who was off-duty at the time) on dangerous-driving charges; a second person also got picked up for the same thing
Three cars were moving together when they hit the man who was trying to cross the street. Police identified two of them: a blue-colored Mercedes C250 and a silver-tinted Mini Cooper S Sport. Both arrested people are now out on bail while detectives look into what happened
